Sukkur Barrage's Gates 44 and 47 have suffered damages, leading to the suspension of water supply to off-taking canals. The Sindh Irrigation department has started emergency repair work on the damaged gates. Consequently, all canal off-taking from Sukkur Barrage, including Nara, Rohri, Khairpur East, Khairpur West, Northern Dadu, Rice, and NW Canal, have been put on hold until the restoration process is completed.
