Tungabhadra dam's 19th gate was damaged by floodwaters due to a snapped chain link, causing a flow of 35,000 cusecs. The Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Minister, Nimmala Rama Naidu, informed that the Chief Minister reviewed the situation and dispatched a specialized team to repair the gate. Downstream residents in Kurnool district's Kosiri, Mantralayam, Nandavaram, and Kouthalam areas were advised to exercise caution.
