Media bodies APNS & PBA appealed to the Pakistani government to retract the proposed amendment in Finance Bill 2024-25 that restricts deduction of sales promotion & advertising expenses. They highlight that members are already facing economic hardships due to lack of innovation & sluggish growth, and the amendment will increase tax liability for large companies, discourage FDI in Pakistan.
