A South Carolina corrections officer was stabbed in the head by an inmate at the Broad River Correctional Institute in Columbia on Thursday morning. The officer, whose injuries are not life-threatening, was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be clarified by the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
