A man has brought a High Court challenge over An Garda Síochána's refusal to grant him station bail after his arrest for allegedly breaching a domestic violence order. The man claims he was wrongly denied bail under the Garda Commissioner's blanket policy of refusing such bail to those accused. Despite no objections to granting bail, he was not released until his case reached the District Court.
