New Zealand's construction costs for standard three-bedroom homes show a 1.8% annual increase and 0.3% quarterly rise, according to QV CostBuilder.

New Zealand's main centres construction costs have slowed with the latest QV CostBuilder figures showing a 1.8% annual increase and 0.3% quarterly rise for building a standard three-bedroom home. This comes after a 4.9% yearly increase to December 2023 and 9.5% growth up to June 2023. QV CostBuilder spokesperson Martin Bisset attributes the slowing inflation to economic headwinds reducing construction sector activity and rectified supply chain issues.
