Bryce Canyon National Park ranger, Tom Lorig, 78, died from injuries sustained after tripping and falling while directing a visitor to a shuttle bus during the park's annual Astronomy Festival. Despite efforts from rangers, medically-trained bystanders, and local EMS personnel, Lorig could not be revived. He was an interpretive park ranger and served Bryce Canyon, the National Park Service, and the public.
