2 fatalities occurred on Ventura Freeway due to a wrong-way driver under the influence of alcohol. The Volkswagen driver, traveling at 80 mph in the wrong direction, collided head-on with a Nissan Versa. The suspected driver was arrested on suspicion of DUI and gross vehicular manslaughter. Names of the victims and suspect remain undisclosed. Witnesses are encouraged to contact CHP's Ventura office.
