A head-on collision on the Corona del Mar Freeway in Newport Beach, California, occurred Sunday night when a wrong-way SUV crashed into a sedan. The California Highway Patrol reported the SUV was traveling northbound in the southbound lanes at high speed before the crash at 9:30 p.m. The SUV driver was killed, while the sedan driver was injured.
