2022 New Hampshire plane crash caused by improper maintenance and pilot's failure to abort takeoff, resulting in fatalities and a barn fire.
The NTSB has identified improper maintenance and the pilot's failure to abort takeoff as the likely causes of a fatal 2022 plane crash in New Hampshire. The single-engine Beechcraft Sierra crashed into a two-story barn connected to a multifamily apartment building, killing both people on board and sparking a fire. The plane had last flown about 14 months earlier with both men in the cockpit, who had experienced poor takeoff and climb performance during a flight.
