A small single-engine Beechcraft Bonanza V35 plane crashed in a Florida mobile home park in Clearwater, resulting in multiple fatalities among passengers on board and residents in one home. The pilot reported trouble before the crash, which occurred around 7 p.m. in Bayside Waters park. The plane struck one home, causing fires that damaged at least three. Clearwater Fire Chief Scott Ehlers did not specify the number of casualties, but confirmed several deaths. The pilot contacted St. Pete–Clearwater International Airport about the emergency before the aircraft went off radar approximately 3 miles north of the runway. Federal investigators will examine the crash scene.
