Air Canada pilot union seeks federal conciliator due to stalled contract negotiations.

The Air Line Pilots Association, representing over 5,000 Air Canada pilots, plans to request a federal conciliator to help in stalled contract negotiations with the airline. The union claims both sides are far apart in the talks, despite a year of contract negotiations and six months of voluntary mediation. Air Canada claims they have worked hard and in good faith to reach a new collective agreement.
