The Duku Highway, known as one of China's most scenic roads, opened to tourists on June 1st following its seasonal closure. The 561-km highway connects Dushanzi in the north of Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region with Kuqa City in the south, featuring diverse landscapes such as canyons, glaciers, lakes, and grasslands. This year marks its earliest seasonal reopening in five years. Kuqa's government upgraded the highway's infrastructure ahead of its reopening to accommodate the increasing number of tourists and ensure improved services.
