University of Georgia horse Tilly gave birth to rare twin foals, overcoming 91% twin pregnancy delivery odds.
A horse named Tilly gave birth to rare twin foals at the University of Georgia Veterinary Teaching Hospital. The owner, Melissa Jarvis, was unaware of the pregnancy, as statistics show only 9% of mares carrying twins successfully deliver both foals, with only 14.5% living through the birth. Tilly's twins have overcome the odds so far, but they will require splints and supportive care in the coming days and weeks.
