21-year-old elephant Pearl Sandar gave birth to rare twin elephants at Myanmar's Wingabaw Elephant Camp, marking the 12th recorded case since 1960.

On August 26, a 21-year-old elephant named Pearl Sandar gave birth to rare twin elephants, a male and a female, at the Wingabaw Elephant Camp in Myanmar's Bago region. This marks only the 12th recorded case of twin elephant births in the country since 1960. Initially, the calves struggled to drink from their mother and were bottle-fed for two days. By the third day, they were able to nurse. The camp currently houses nine elephants and is providing special care for the twins.
