Two Florida men, Pen Yu and Gregory Munoz, pleaded guilty to wire fraud conspiracy for a scheme to illegally export biochemicals from Sigma-Aldrich Inc. (MilliporeSigma) to China. The U.S. Department of Justice decided not to prosecute MilliporeSigma due to the company's voluntary disclosure and full cooperation with the investigation. This is the first time the DOJ's National Security Division has declined to prosecute a company under its enforcement policy.
