Vivo Energy acquires Engen from Petronas, creating a larger pan-African energy company.
Vivo Energy has completed its acquisition of Engen, a South African petroleum company, from Petronas, creating a pan-African energy champion with over 3,900 service stations and 2 billion liters of storage capacity across 28 African markets. The enlarged Vivo Energy will invest in Engen's operations in South Africa and commit to major renewable solar power generation investments. Petronas previously held a 74% stake in Engen.
