Azerbaijan's government is ready to collaborate with all stakeholders to assist companies in financing their energy transition, according to Deputy Economy Minister Sahib Mammadov. The country is also preparing a draft law on carbon taxes application, with President of COP29 Mukhtar Babayev stating that the EU will introduce a carbon tax on products from carbon-intensive industries. Azerbaijan is open to receiving proposals from the private sector to align business practices and laws with the global climate agenda.
