Azerbaijan hosts COP29 in 2023 with EU support and carbon pricing strategy collaboration.
The European Union is eager to work with Azerbaijan and other partners towards a successful outcome at the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in 2023. Azerbaijan was announced as the host for COP29 on December 11, 2023, after Armenia and Bulgaria withdrew their candidacies. The EU also calls for cooperation in developing a unified strategy for carbon pricing.
