An unidentified person in Portland's Sellwood neighborhood survived a 40-foot fall after climbing a power tower to take a selfie. The person may have touched a 57,000-volt power line, causing electrocution, and falling into bushes along railroad tracks near Sellwood Riverfront Park. The individual was conscious and breathing immediately after the fall and was supported by an off-duty paramedic before being taken to a trauma center for treatment.
