Cascades Inc. appoints Hugues Simon, a Resolute Forest Products executive, as their next President and CEO, with Simon taking over on or before July 1. Mario Plourde, currently the CEO, plans to retire; however, he will support Simon during a transition period until December, then act as a special adviser. Simon is currently the president of the wood products business at Resolute Forest Products.
