S&P Global appoints Martina Cheung, current credit ratings president, as CEO, effective November 1.

S&P Global has appointed Martina Cheung, currently the president of its credit ratings division, as its next CEO, effective November 1. Cheung, who has held multiple leadership roles in her 14-year stint at S&P, will succeed Douglas Peterson, who will remain on the board and be a special adviser until 2025. Cheung's division saw its revenue rise 9% last year to $3.3 billion.
