37-year-old Aaron Michael Lord, a former cook who became homeless during the pandemic, has been accused of murdering a fellow rough sleeper, 68-year-old Raymond McCormack, in Wollongong Railway Station car park. Lord was arrested three hours after the victim's body was discovered and allegedly hosed down the crime scene. He appeared at Wollongong Local Court, where no application for bail was made and was formally refused by Magistrate Claire Girotto.
