Alfie Whelan, 20, pleaded guilty to culpable homicide for fatally stabbing 24-year-old Michael Jenkins during a violent altercation at Whelan's Fraserburgh flat on June 4, 2021. Jenkins was stabbed 13 times over a dispute related to money and died from his injuries outside the residence. Initially charged with murder, Whelan's plea was accepted based on provocation. He is in custody, awaiting sentencing next month.
