40 people, including firefighters and animal rescue teams, rescued two horses trapped in mud in Lebanon, Connecticut, on Saturday. The horses had wandered into the swampy area and became stuck up to their undersides. It took around five hours to free the horses using makeshift bridges, sleds, and a rope system. Both horses were evaluated by a vet and found to be in mild distress.
