Horse Conquistador rescued from deep mud near Santa Ana River in California after 24 hours.
Horse named Conquistador was rescued after getting stuck in deep mud near the Santa Ana River in California. Riverside County firefighters and the Sheriff's Department airlifted the horse to safety on Sunday, using a sheriff's helicopter and assistance from Norco's Animal Rescue Team. The horse had been stuck for nearly 24 hours after two horses and their riders were riding along the river when they possibly got spooked and ran off.
