Quebec's Health Minister Christian Dubé plans to table a bill that would prohibit insurance companies and employers from requiring doctor's notes for medical treatment reimbursements. The new measure, if adopted, would apply to all Quebec residents and free up doctors' time by reducing paperwork. Family doctors currently spend around 25% of their time filling out forms for insurance companies.
