The Canadian Senate has approved a pharmacare bill, a result of the Liberal and NDP political agreement. This legislation will help establish a national pharmacare plan and allows the government to negotiate coverage for diabetes and birth control medications within the public health system. Following royal assent, Health Minister Mark Holland aims to involve all provinces and territories by spring 2024.
