NPR journalists visited the U.S.-Mexico border to see how easy it is for migrants to enter the U.S. They found that walking south from the U.S. into Mexico is easy, but going the other way is difficult. A legal port of entry allowed them to pass easily between Nogales, Arizona, and Nogales, Sonora. This border is beneficial for businesses on both sides, making Mexico the U.S.'s biggest trading partner. However, the border also presents a political challenge due to the arrival of millions of migrants seeking to enter the U.S.
