Coal India Ltd (CIL) contributed a 6.4% increase in payments to the Indian government in FY24, reaching Rs 60,140.31 crore, up from Rs 56,524.11 crore during FY23. State governments of Jharkhand, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh were the primary beneficiaries, receiving significant royalty payments. CIL's production and off-take are projected to be 838 million tonnes for FY'25.
