Coal India Ltd (CIL) advances 119 projects worth Rs 1,33,576 crore, targeting 1 billion tonne production by 2025-26. These 896 million tonne per year projects are part of CIL's strategy to meet future coal demands and support 'Atmanirbhar Bharat'. The company plans to procure high-capacity equipment worth over Rs 3,700 crore in the next financial year, with a capital expenditure target of Rs 15,500 crore for 2024-25.
