Wrong-way driver detection systems will be installed on I-84 ramps in Southington as part of ongoing efforts to tackle the issue of wrong-way driving. The system includes illuminated signs with red LEDs that flash, and electronic sensors capable of alerting state police and the DOT's highway operations center. Installation is set to begin Wednesday at exits 28 and 32 eastbound and Exit 29 westbound.
