NHAI partners with IIIT Delhi to use AI for improving road safety on national highways. The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) involves IIIT Delhi conducting surveys on road sign availability and condition on selected highways stretches, covering around 25,000 km. The data will be processed using AI by IIIT Delhi for accurate identification and classification of road signs. The resulting survey report will include a geo-stamped inventory of existing signs with their categorization and structural condition.
