5,000 Post Office employees face retrenchment after their Temporary Employee Relief Scheme (TERS) funding application was denied by the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA) and a Single Adjudication Committee. The relief funding application aimed to secure funds for the Post Office's bargaining unit staff. The rejection of the application means that the retrenchment of 4,889 employees will go ahead.
