50-year-old Lynchburg man, John Sheffey Jr., was arrested and charged for a February malicious wounding incident where a woman with non-life-threatening injuries to her head was found. Sheffey had outstanding warrants from both Lynchburg and Bedford County, including malicious wounding and felony possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance. He is being held without bond at the Blue Ridge Regional Jail.
