US-based Vantage Data Centers plans to invest €1bn in a large data center campus in west Dublin, creating 165 permanent jobs and over 1,000 during construction. The 22-acre site in Grange Castle will offer 52MW of IT capacity in its first two phases, with potential for a third center. The campus aims for sustainability with an on-site multi-fuel generation plant using hydrotreated vegetable oil and grid-fed gas, and an industry-leading annualized PUE of 1.2. It's expected to be Vantage's 14th EMEA campus and open later this year.
