Ireland's planning appeals board, An Bord Pleanala, has approved a €1.2bn, 200MW data centre campus near Ennis, Co. Clare. Developed by Art Data Centres Ltd, the project spans 145 acres with six data halls and is set to begin construction in 2024. It is expected to create 400-450 permanent jobs and up to 1,200 jobs during construction. The data centre aligns with the Irish government's Enterprise Strategy and Climate Action Plan.
