The Lead British International School in Abuja, Nigeria temporarily closed to investigate alleged bullying involving student Maryam Hassan, after a viral video showed her repeatedly slapping another student over boyfriend-related issues. The school head pledged support for the victim and provided counselling, while also offering counselling and disciplinary measures for the perpetrator and their family. The FCT Police have initiated an investigation, and Nigeria's Minister of Education has committed to ensuring a safe learning environment.
