The CBI plans to question Amit Chakraborty, former HR head of NewsClick, in Tihar Jail over alleged FCRA violations by the news portal. Chakraborty, who is in jail, will be interviewed as a witness regarding investments from US-based Worldwide Media Holdings into PPK NewsClick Studio Pvt. He was arrested by Delhi Police Special Cell last year under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act. The CBI received permission from a special court to question him in Tihar on Wednesday.
