NewsClick HR head, Amit Chakraborty, sought bail in a Unlawful Activities Prevention Act (UAPA) case against the news portal, alleging they spread pro-China propaganda. Chakraborty's counsel said he turned approver in the case and has been in custody since 3 October 2023. The Delhi High Court reserved the order on his bail plea after it was confirmed that the police did not object to the relief being granted.
