Associate Agriculture Minister, Mark Patterson, reopened the world's largest wool processing facility in Awatoto, Napier, after a $50m rebuild and refurbishment. The facility, operated by Woolworks, accounts for 20% of global strong wool production and scours more than half of New Zealand's wool annually. The reopening is expected to significantly lift economic opportunities for the country's wool sector.
