Telopea Downs, a major Victorian woolgrower, has sheared 98,570 sheep across its Eureka, Blue Hills, and Glen Alpine properties in a record operation lasting nearly 40 days. An 18-member shearing team peaked at 3,600 sheep per day, producing 2,184 bales of medium wool Merinos, averaging 18.5 microns. The wool will be distributed to various markets through AWN over the coming months. The farm aims to maintain a sustainable annual clip of 95,000 to 100,000 sheep.
