Australian Wool Innovation director urges Queensland woolgrowers to consider a larger levy for industry sustainability.

Australian Wool Innovation director, Don Macdonald, has urged Queensland woolgrowers to consider a bigger levy to sustain essential aspects of the industry. Speaking at the Queensland State Sheep Show, Macdonald highlighted the need for unity and collaboration in the wake of past political unrest. AWI has not publicly requested a specific levy amount, however Macdonald conveyed that the 2018 WoolPoll result, which resulted in a 1.5% levy, occurred amid industry tension.
