27-year-old man dies after being shot by RCMP officers in Manitoba's Sandy Bay First Nation during a weapons complaint response. The suspect fled initially, but was found with multiple weapons; a Mountie fired, injuring him. Despite efforts to save his life, he was pronounced dead. RCMP Major Crime Services and the Independent Investigation Unit of Manitoba are conducting separate investigations.
