5 south London Wetherspoons pubs were put up for sale in 2022: Wrong Un (Bexleyheath), Bankers Draft (Eltham), Asparagus (Battersea), Capitol (Forest Hill), Foxley Hatch (Purley). By 2024, three have permanently closed, while the Asparagus and Wrong Un remained open. The Asparagus closed in March 2024, leaving Wrong Un as the only one still open, with an offer made for Bexleyheath's pub.
