He fought the alligator using a screwdriver, stabbing it in the eye and gum line to escape. Georgitis, who may need future surgeries, has started a GoFundMe for medical expenses as he is uninsured. He warns others to be cautious while diving in the area, as the aggressive alligator is still present.
