The House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee has issued a 21-day ultimatum to the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Fiscal Responsibility Commission (FRC) to reconcile an unremitted operating surplus of N45 billion, recorded from 2007 to 2021. The FRC had previously brought the case against the SEC for not responding to its 2022 report, which recorded a computed liability of N45.013 billion in unremitted funds against the SEC.
