The Senate Finance Committee has questioned Bank of America over $158 million payments made by private equity mogul Leon Black to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Senator Ron Wyden sent a letter to the bank asking about the due diligence conducted before processing the payments, made between 2012 and 2017, and whether any bank employees raised concerns about the payments' purpose.
