First National Bank of Pennsylvania to pay $13.5 million to settle redlining charges.

First National Bank of Pennsylvania has been accused of discriminating against Black and Latino homebuyers in North Carolina for at least four years, according to the Justice Department. The bank will pay $13.5 million to settle redlining charges. The majority of this sum will be used to create a fund to help subsidize loans for Black and Latino borrowers in Charlotte and Winston-Salem, where the DOJ found evidence of discrimination.
