European Space Agency's (ESA) Gaia mission discovers a 33-solar-mass black hole, the most massive known in the Milky Way, located 2,000 light-years away in the Aquila constellation. This black hole, named Gaia BH3, was initially detected through a "wobbling" motion on its companion star and offers new insights into the formation of high-mass black holes and the role of metal-poor stars in this process.
